Matthews West retained Northwest Hydraulic Consultants as the prime consultant, with PSG Ocean as sub-consultant, to provide coastal engineering services in support of developing the oceanfront peninsula in Squamish, including shoreline design for multiple lots.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, PSG Ocean is responsible for:

  • Conducting lot-specific flood hazard assessments to support approvals by the District of Squamish in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Providing design inputs for nature-based shoreline protection solutions
  • Assembling project and publicly available elevation datasets to develop a consistent topographic and bathymetric digital elevation model (DEM) across the project site

The cover photo depicts a shoreline analyzed by PSG Ocean as part of a flood hazard assessment; however, the shoreline design was completed by others.
